PETITIONS

By the following organizations requesting permission to conduct a raffle and have the bond requirement waived:  Quincy Symphony Orchestra Assoc. from 2/14/12 to 4/22/12; Girl Scouts of Central Illinois from now thru 5/4/12.  The City Clerk recommends approval of the permits.

By Quincy Notre Dame Cross Country team requesting permission to hold the Eleventh Annual Running Raider Classic on June 23rd starting at 7:30 a.m. beginning at 10th and Jackson, going east on Jackson to 12th, south to R.J. Peters Drive, through South Park, west on R.J. Peters Drive to Gardner Expressway, east through Indian Mounds Park, north on 5th, west on Jackson to Gardner Expressway, back same route finishing at 10th & Jackson.  They request to close Jackson St. 8th to 12th from 7:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. to accommodate the start of the race.  Auxiliary officers are requested to help direct traffic at the various intersections.  Barricades are requested.

By Rinella Co. Inc. requesting permission to hold the “Kelly’s St. Patrick’s Day 4-Mile Run/Walk” on March 11th beginning at 9:30 a.m. starting at Kelly’s parking lot going south on 30th to Maine, west on Maine through Madison Park to Jersey, Jersey to East Ave, south to 22nd, south on 22nd to Monroe, west on Monroe to 20th, north to Maine St., east to 30th, north back to Kelly’s Parking lot.  They are also requesting Section 18.039(3) be waived to allow alcoholic beverages to be sold at an outside tent on Kelly’s parking lot.

Resolution requesting that the City of Quincy enter into a new airport facility lease with Cape Air in the amount of $10,188 per year with an automatic increase of 3% effective January 1st of each lease year commencing January 1, 2013.
